Our designs are drawn true to nature — artistic, yet faithful enough that a nature lover would recognize an antelope horn milkweed or a native wildflower without a second glance. We believe that kind of recognition sparks something deeper: a connection to the living world, and a reason to protect it.
NatureTats was started as a side hobby by Allison Wilcoxen in 2015, born from a love of tattoos, nature, and a desire to connect with people through art. A passionate artist with a deep love for insects and plants, Allison’s bold linework and eye for detail gave her designs an immediacy that resonated instantly — the original beetles and wasps flew off the digital shelves faster than she could restock them.
Over the past decade the brand has grown and evolved. We’ve moved four times, collaborated with incredibly talented people, and built a community united by a shared appreciation for nature. Through countless events, pop-up markets, and the challenges of 2020, we’ve kept pushing forward. NatureTats are now sold in thousands of retail shops across the US and internationally.
What we’re most proud of, though, is the connection — with everyone who has ever worn a NatureTat to express a mood, honor a memory, or mark a moment.
